There are many ways to take part in the djehuty community, whatever your background or experience.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level or background. You don’t need to write code to make a difference: feedback, questions, documentation and testing all help djehuty grow.

Join the conversation

  • Attend a Community Hour. Our monthly online meeting is open to everyone. Find out what to expect and check the calendar for the next date.
  • Take part in discussions. Ask questions, share ideas, or comment on proposals in the GitHub discussions.
  • Bring a topic. Want the community to discuss something? Add it to the agenda.

Share feedback and report issues

Tell us about your experience with djehuty: what works well, what is confusing, and what is missing.

  • Report a bug or suggest a feature in the issue tracker. Please search existing issues first, and describe what you expected and what happened. Steps to reproduce help a lot.
  • See what is planned in the release roadmap, and tell us what matters most to you.

Contribute code

Code contributions are welcome, from small fixes to new features. The full process is in CONTRIBUTING.md.

Improve documentation, testing and design

Good documentation and careful testing are as valuable as code. You can:

  • read the documentation and tell us where it is unclear, outdated or missing,
  • test new releases and report what you find,
  • share ideas for a clearer, more accessible interface.

This website is built with Quarto and lives in the community/ directory of the djehuty repository. To fix a typo, add a resource or write up meeting notes, use the Edit this page link on any page, or open an issue or pull request.

Help the community grow

  • Share how your institution or project uses djehuty, for example in a Community Hour.
  • Invite colleagues who might benefit from the project or the community.
  • Welcome newcomers in discussions and meetings.
